The HAC in London was the beautiful (and very sparkly) venue for last night’s annual B2B Marketing awards ceremony. With over 800 marketing professionals attending last year (where we won two awards), this year’s event was bigger and better than ever! Of course, the evening took a spectacular turn when it was announced that Really B2B won Best SME Targeted Campaign – for a second year in a row!
The Winning Campaign
We were up against some stiff competition, including entries by Mastercard, Atos and Maxus to name a few, but the B2B Marketing panel of judges decided our “Let’s Do Business” campaign for Zipcar (the world’s largest car club network) was worthy of the award!
Taking our persona research on commuters to a new level, our teams went on location in Zipcar’s three depot cities (London, Bristol and Oxford) and created bespoke campaigns for each city as commuter habits varied significantly. A multi-channel approach was constructed, consisting of integrated email, direct mail, content, telemarketing, regionalised URL’s and landing pages.
Targeting each of the three cities differently was key to ensuring maximum engagement from the local commuters dependant on their habits.
The campaign successfully brought in 237 new clients with 70% sales-ready leads converted and a remarkable lifetime value of closed sales of £341,280, not a bad effort, right?
Back to the Ceremony...
This year we treated ourselves to our own table, and had the honour of the lovely Abi and Garry from Zipcar joining us, making it even more special that we could celebrate the win all together! Big smiles all round!
With Twitter updates from Chris Manns, our Marketing and Planning Director, and Hazel Pugh, our Creative guru, we had a full picture painted of the evening’s glitz and glamour.

Needless to say the office has been buzzing with excitement as we add another trophy to the collection, and with The Drum Content Awards: Best B2B Content Marketing Strategy/Campaign and The CMA International Content Awards: Best B2B Industry and Manufacturing Content that we are shortlisted for later in the year, we may have to treat ourselves to an awards cabinet for Christmas.
As we do things slightly differently at Really B2B, with measurability and ROI always at the centre of our campaigns, it’s wonderful to have the recognition of industry leaders such as B2B Marketing acknowledge the amount of effort, care and attention we put in for our clients.
