It’s B2B marketing awards season and we’re at it again...

Posted by Kenneth Connolly on 14-Oct-2015 16:00:00

In 2014, the team here at Really B2B scooped two top accolades including ‘Best Use of Content Marketing’ and ‘Best SME-targeted Campaign’ at the B2B Marketing Awards. Spurred on by our success, we set our sights on the 2015 awards season and got to work pushing the boundaries of our expertise and abilities. With a firm view of improving on last year’s haul of awards, the benchmark was set, and the work began. Following a year of target-smashing activities, we entered our award submissions for 2015 and waited for the news of shortlisted entries. Over the past couple of weeks, awarding bodies have started releasing news of their shortlists, and guess what… we’re at it again!

B2B Marketing Awards 2015

Following our bumper crop of awards at last year’s event, we were delighted to see that once again our efforts had not gone unnoticed and we had been shortlisted for two highly-coveted categories. The first of which is the ‘Best SME-targeted Campaign’ which we won last year, shining light on the fact that even as previous winners, we don’t rest on our laurels.

The second category which we have been shortlisted for is the mother of all awards – ‘B2B Marketing Communications Agency of the Year’. We are striving with all our might and praying to every deity that will listen to help us win this tremendous award but are we under no illusion of just how stiff the competition is in this group. With entries from agencies such as OgilvyOne DNX and The Marketing Practice, we are well and truly among the heavyweights in this bout.

The Drum Content Awards 2015

Having secured two shortlisted entries at the B2B Marketing Awards, energy levels at Really B2B headquarters were at an all-time high, then the news reached us. We had also been shortlisted for a Drum Content Award in the category of ‘Best B2B Content Marketing Strategy/Campaign’. Excitement in the office reached fever-pitch. Once again, we were delighted to have been shortlisted, but the real honour was to have been considered part of a group of agencies which were not just big names in the industry, but who had also worked with some of the biggest companies in the world. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK and previous award-winners, the team at Really B2B were delighted to have been recognised amongst similar agencies of such high standing.

The CMA International Content Awards 2015

Just when things started getting back to normal and we’d finished congratulating each other on being shortlisted for such amazing awards, another email arrived. This time it was the CMA to notify us that we’d been shortlisted for an accolade in their awards ceremony. This time the category was ‘Best B2B: Industry and Manufacturing Content’. Having eaten all the celebratory cake from previous announcements, it was time to send someone to the shop for supplies to continue the party atmosphere. In an event that received 400 entries from 21 countries, being shortlisted was a staggering achievement, and one that did not become overshadowed by the previous accomplishments.

So far, 2015 has been an amazing year for everyone at Really B2B and hopefully scooping at least some of these awards will go a long way in helping us become the best agency in the UK.

To see what it is that makes us ‘tick’ and to find out more about why the awarding bodies believe we are worthy of a shortlisting…
