Keeping Your B2B Creative Team Chipper

At Really B2B, we’re all about seizing the opportunities that get the best out of our talented, creative team. As a creative business, we’re constantly inspired by the wealth of talent in the industry, and our own individuals. We love our team nights, especially when they reinvigorate our creative spark. We look to local events in Portsmouth, a place which is buzzing with creativity. Events such as the University of Portsmouth expo, which recently highlighted a host of brilliant work and individuals on our doorstep we’re excited by. Of course, we keep our ear to the ground regarding the cool stuff that’s going on in London and beyond, but we also love to have fun and get involved in stuff like the Chip Shop Awards – so we can let rip creatively.

A really engaged team is better for business

Seriously, taking a busman’s holiday for a few hours is great way to enrich the creative spirit of the agency. We find it not only keeps us sharp, but helps us get a better understanding of how one another really thinks - which can only be a good thing. Investing just a little bit extra in your team creativity really does have an impact on the business too – from the sketch pad to the boardroom, everyone will have that bit more awareness and desire to break the latest trend, and go the extra mile to find the idea that truly resolves the business challenge creatively.

Enter fun B2B creative awards

A great way to bring the creative spirit to fruition is to focus your team’s input with defined goals. There are some great initiatives out there to get involved in such as One Minute Briefs, The Great British Postcard Competition and the growing Chip Shop Awards. If you’re not up to speed with the Chip Shop Awards, they’re run by the DRUM and give us creative types an opportunity to turn our boundless enthusiasm to a range of short briefs which reflect the lighthearted side of our business. We jumped on the opportunity earlier in the year when our Managing Director Kirsty gave us the green light to enter. Fittingly, we held our ideas hour in our local chippy and a few weeks later we were picking up an accreditation for ‘The Best Ad From The Future’ which we’re thrilled about.
